Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027. No Father’s Day event, car show or special menu had been announced in Wellington by Oct. 10; we will add each one here, from the organizer’s own page, as it is posted. In the meantime, these are the places open on a June Sunday, with their regular hours.

Get out and play

• Wellington Aquatics Center, 3410 120th Ave. S.: summer Sunday hours are noon to 8 p.m., with the NinjaCross obstacle course open noon to 7 p.m. and the diving boards noon to 7 p.m. NinjaCross and the high dive need a 48-inch height and a 25-yard swim test, per the village.
• Wellington Tennis Center, 3100 Lyons Road: 24 Har-Tru clay courts, three hard courts and a pro shop, per the village. Call 561-791-4775 about court time.
• Wellington Environmental Preserve, 3491 Flying Cow Ranch Road: a paved path, boardwalk and six-story observation tower, free. Go early in the day.
• Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road: a 2.5-mile paved trail with exercise stations. See walking and biking trails.

Music and a night out

• Kickback Tavern, 12771 W. Forest Hill Blvd.: live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and trivia Wednesdays, with pet-friendly outdoor seating, the tavern says.
• Village Music Café, 10410 W. Forest Hill Blvd.: ticketed Friday and Saturday shows. 561-798-5334.
• CMX Cinemas Wellington 10 at The Mall at Wellington Green: reclining seats, a restaurant-style menu and a full bar.
