Lines for some activities may close early. Music for the fireworks is broadcast on 88.7 FM for people watching from their cars near the park.
A KultureCity Quiet Area in the Village Park Gym, rooms 2A and 2B, gives anyone who needs it a quieter space, with free sensory bags to borrow.

On-site parking is very limited. Drivers enter through the Village Park main entrance on Pierson Road. The village recommends its free shuttle from The Mall at Wellington Green, which leaves from the Palm Tran bus stop near Macy’s starting at 5:30 p.m. Shuttles stop running during the fireworks and start again when the lights come back on.

Fireworks at home: the rules
Florida law allows consumer fireworks without a permit on only three days: Independence Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On every other day they need a permit. In Wellington there is a stricter rule: personal fireworks are banned year-round in the Equestrian Preserve Area, according to the village’s fireworks safety page, which also warns that horses and other livestock can be frightened by fireworks.
Using fireworks illegally is a first-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine, the village says, and signing a “waiver” at a fireworks stand does not change that. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office enforces the law all year. Sparklers burn at 1,000 to 2,000 degrees.
