From Wellington, the direct road is Southern Boulevard east, past the Turnpike’s Exit 97; the airport’s directions page sends Turnpike drivers east on Southern Boulevard to the Australian Avenue exit toward the terminal. Palm Tran stops on the outer curb of Level 1, and rideshare pickups are on the outer curb of the third-floor departure level, the airport says.
Trains
There is no passenger rail station in Wellington. The Tri-Rail commuter train and Amtrak stop at the West Palm Beach station, 203 and 201 S. Tamarind Ave., according to the airport’s public transportation page. Palm Tran Route 43 runs from the mall to downtown West Palm Beach.
Bikes, e-bikes and trails
The village adopted new rules in 2026, according to its micromobility page. For e-bikes and e-scooters on village sidewalks and paths:
- Riders must be at least 15 and carry government-issued photo ID.
- Top speed is 15 mph on sidewalks and pathways.
- They are banned on all public bridle trails, at Wellington Town Center, in neighborhood parks and on the Heart Trail at Village Park at posted times.
- Everyone under 16, on any bike or scooter, must wear a helmet, under state law.
The rules do not apply inside gated communities or on private property. For walking and riding routes, see parks and trails: Village Park has a 2.5-mile paved loop.
Parking rules
The village’s parking page covers street and neighborhood rules; it lists no public parking decks or meters. It bans:
- Parking on a street, in a swale or across most of a sidewalk
- Overnight parking of a commercial vehicle that is not fully screened in a garage or behind walls and hedges
- Recreational vehicles that are not screened
Code officers and sheriff’s deputies no longer have to issue a warning first. A ticket carries a $35 penalty, and parking in a disabled space $250. Three or more unpaid tickets, or one unpaid disabled-space ticket, block your next vehicle registration. Planning a party or event at home? Call 561-753-2560 in advance to arrange parking without tickets. Sheriff’s Office tickets are paid through the county Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller.
