Valentine’s Day 2027 is Sunday, Feb. 14. It lands in the middle of Wellington’s high season: the Winter Equestrian Festival’s Week 5 runs Feb. 10-14, so the night before Valentine’s Day is a Saturday Night Lights grand prix at Wellington International, free to watch. No Wellington restaurant had posted a Valentine’s menu by Oct. 10; we will add them as they appear.

Saturday Night Lights, Saturday, Feb. 13

Saturday Night Lights is the Winter Equestrian Festival’s weekly evening of grand prix show jumping, with live music, food and shopping. Week 5 (Feb. 10-14, 2027) is a CSI5* week on the festival schedule.

  • Gates open at 6 p.m.; competition starts at 7 p.m.
  • General admission is free. General parking is $25 a car; evening valet is $35.
  • The venue is cashless, so bring a card. No outside food or drinks.
  • Premium hospitality tables (buffet and open bar) are sold separately each week; Tiki Hut tickets go on sale Tuesdays at 10 a.m. during the festival.

Valentine’s Day is a Sunday, so Devine Bistro is a Saturday, Feb. 13, choice. Cooper’s Hawk serves its weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Peaceful Waters Sanctuary, inside Village Park off Pierson Road: 1,500 feet of boardwalk over a 30-acre wetland, no admission fee, closes at dusk. No dogs.

For dads and daughters: the Father Daughter Dance

Three weeks earlier, the village holds its Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2027, from 6 to 9 p.m. (doors 5:30 p.m.) at the Village Park Gym, 11700 Pierson Road. It is for daughters ages 5 to 14 with fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers and “all blends of families,” and includes dinner, dessert, dancing, games and photos.
